3m by 2m Wildlife Pond, built with stunning Welsh boulders absolutely transforms this space
From a blank lawn to living garden. This stream and wildlife pond brings this garden to life. The stream meanders through the garden with a set of stepping stones to cross over. Mature Japanese Acers were brought in to give instant impact. The pond is absolutely teeming with Amphibians and other aquatic life. This project won Stone Warehouse Professional Landscaping Project of the year in 2023 and you can read more about this on the news section of the website.
Stunning project in the Peak District. This pond was originally clay lined and over grown with invasive plants and would completely dry up in the Summer. We converted this into a fully functional low maintenance wildlife pond, with a stream, wetland filter and intake bay to skim the surface of the pond of leaves and debris. The aquatic plants have all matured so quickly and we have several densely planted bog areas to create a diverse habitat.
This sloped garden was crying out for a natural waterfall, flowing down into a Koi Carp pond. This project features a negative edge where the water overflows out of the pond into a waterfall, acting as the ponds mechanical filtration. Beneath this waterfall we have a rain water harvesting reservoir which holds approximately 3000 litres.
