In November 2022 we were commissioned to collaborate on a large pondless waterfall project in Stavenger, Norway.
Owner of Aquascape Norge, Joachim Fjield, had heard about Nice Ponds through the Aquascape Master Certified Contractor scheme and employed us to work alongside Erik Rorkil – a local (Norwegian) pond builder. The waterfall included 3 metres of elevation and massive boulders weighing up to 3 tonnes each, which were sited using a 16 tonne excavator.
Whilst in Norway, Matt got to visit Pulpit Rock – Preikestolen or Prekestolen is a tourist attraction in the municipality of Strand in Rogaland county. It is a steep cliff, rising 604 metres above the fjord (Lysefjorden) with a 600 square metre natural stone platform on top.
